One Nation One GST Registration.

PAN India Single GST Registration may soon be a reality.

Government is working towards introduction of Single GST Registration for PAN India. The purpose is to bring ease in GST Registration process.

After implementation of Single GST Registration for entire India, traders will have to take only one GST Registration. And with that single registration, a trader will be allowed to do business in any state all over India.

What is Current law for GST Registration?

In current scenario, traders are required to take separate registration in each state from where they make taxable supplies or have their office.

That means, if someone is operating from Delhi, then he is required to take registration in the state of Delhi at his Delhi address. After that he wishes to open another office in Chennai and operate from there also, then he is required to another GST Registration in Chennai as well. This bothers traders a lot.

What is the projected change?

According to sources, Centre has started the discussion with States on PAN India Single GST Registration. After that a detailed proposal will be sent to GST Council. According to GST exper.......
