As you are aware that e-invoice is now applicable for all taxpayers having turnover more than Rs.5 Crores w.e.f. 01 Aug 2023.

Below, we have summarized the process to register for e-invoicing Login API and integrate it with in your ERP. As of now, we have given the demo on Tally Prime because it is much popular among users. You may repeat the same process for your ERP or you may contact your ERP provider also for configuration.

You may comment below, if you face any error in e-invoice generation.

 Bonus tip is given at the end of article.

Step 1) Visit e-invoice portal - https://einvoice1.gst.gov.in/

Go to Login => Enter your e-way bill login credentials here. E-invoice login credentials are same as e-way login credentials.

Click on Login.

You can update contact details of your technical person here. This step is optional, you can choose to exit and skip this as well.

Step 2) Create API Login Credentials.

Go to API Registration => User Credentials => Create API User

 

Enter Mobile OTP to verify and proceed.

Select Registration Through - GSP /  ERP

Select your GSP / ERP - Tally India Pvt. Ltd. (We have selected Tally as sample. You may select your GSP / ERP from the drop-down)

Create API Username and Password for e-invoice API access.

Click on Submit.

Done. You will get a success message on screen. 

Step 3) Set up e-invoice API access in Tally Prime

Go to => Tally Gateway

Step 4) Press F11 => Enable GST => Yes => Enter

Step 5) Select e-invoicing Applicable => Yes

Enter Applicable Date from which you wish to apply e-invoice.

Enter Bill from Place.

Step 6) Create a Tax Invoice or go to edit any previously entered invoice (Date of invoice should be after the applicability date as entered in the above step) Step 7) .......
