Tax Payers may get the upgraded GST Portal soon

Around March' 20, the ministry of finance informed infosys (the company which is managing the entire GST Network) about the problems that were highlighted as early as in the year of 2018 are still lying unresolved. Ministry also informed that continous failure is making the genuine taxpayers frustrated. Finance ministry also asked for a plan for timely resolution of glitches on the GST Portal.

Infosys then made a presentation to the GST Council for the roadmap of transition to a stable GST System and it also apprised the council of their requirements regarding the  better hardware to enhance current capacity for addressing the problems being faced by taxpayers. In return, the council had also given its nod to the demand raised by Infosys for more skilled manpower and better hardware.

Infosys informed that due to this lockdown, they are facing some constraints in purchasing the hardware. Infosys also said that work is being done at full speed to enhance the taxpayer's experience even as a large number of its employees are working from home.
