ORDER PER 1. The petitioner has filed the present petition being aggrieved by the order dated 06.06.2022 (hereafter the impugned order) cancelling the petitioner’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration with retrospective effect from 23.08.2017. 2. The petitioner is a partnership firm, which was constituted on 08.07.2017. The petitioner is engaged in the business of manufacturing of edge binding tape and was duly registered under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (CGST Act)/Delhi Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (DGST Act) with effect from 23.08.2017 and was assigned the Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN): 07AAFFU1507M1Z2. 3. The petitioner claims that due to adverse circumstances resulting on account of the outbreak of COVID-19, the petitioner could not sustain its operation and had to close down its business in April, 2022.
