ORDER

ORDER Heard Sri J.S. Bedi along with Sri Vishwjit, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Ankur Agarwal, learned Standing Counsel for the State. Challenge has been raised to the action taken by the revenue authorities to detain the goods, namely, aluminum wire rod described, being transported from Delhi to Punjab through State of U.P. Petitioner further claims, the said goods were accompanied with valid Tax Invoice issued by the consigner/dealer in favour of petitioner/Punjab dealer and also e-way bill. Those documents were present on the truck bearing registration No. PB 08 EF 4550. While the goods were in transit, they were detained by the Assistant Commissioner, Sector-2 (Mobile Squad-1), Ghaziabad U.P. on 14th April, 2023. Initially, the goods were detained to make proper verification in view of doubts created upon the statement of the driver of the vehicle. On 19.04.2023, a show cause notice on MOV-07, was issued in the name of the driver of the truck Baljeet Singh....
